Last year the fund assisted 81 families in keeping warm, 68 in
Freeport and 13 in Pownal. That's a total of $23,000. This was in addition to the 144 families they
helped get fuel through the Low Income Home Assistance Program (LiHEAP).
It gets harder and harder each year to raise this kind of money. Any help you can give us either through funds raised or publicizing the need would be greatly appreciated.
The Freeport Community Center has organized this fund for the local families in need of Freeport and Pownal. If you have any questions or would like to make a donation you can call the Community Center and speak to the FCC Executive Director Bob Lyman at: 207-869-1004 or e-mail him at: rlyman@fcsmaine.org
