Coming together and taking charge to help a friend, neighbor or complete stranger in need is one of the most powerful statements of humanity there is.  We are committed to being there as a physical presence for as many fund raising events that we are able.  Take Charge In Your Community!

To raise quick money to help support the living and house hold expenses for a friend, neighbor, co-worker or complete stranger that is going through cancer treatment or some kind of debilitating illness here are some ideas:

For the Friends for Kristie fund raising event we asked for silent auction donations from friends, family, co-workers and local businesses.  The out pouring of support was amazing! Thank you all!  We sold 50/50 raffle tickets with a twist! instead of half of the money pot as the prize  it was 100 gallons of oil donated by Webber Oil! With so many donations of gift cards we continued drawing names to give away the rest of our prizes! The 50/50 pot grew fast and instead of giving away half of the money we gave away great prizes and 100% of the earnings went straight to Kristie. Choose a family friendly and popular place for your event and people will be sure to come!  Have an emcee or a DJ move the event along in the right direction as well as liven up the crowd while encouraging them to donate generously! Offer fun challenges like a head shaving, beard cut or prizes to up the anti of any bid or donation! Put your volunteers to work! When someone offers you their help delegate a job to them and your event will be that much more successful! Have fun! You will be amazed at all you can accomplish in a mere 3 to 4 hours. Good luck.
